1. Who operates Scene Dept.
Rising Orchards, LLC operates Scene Dept. This notice describes how we handle information for the website, accounts, production projects, and authorized integrations. Contact support@risingorchards.com or write to Rising Orchards, LLC, 128 Orange Ave, Daytona Beach, FL 32114, USA.
Scene Dept. and IgorBox are products of Rising Orchards, LLC. IgorBox is also a registered DBA of Rising Orchards, LLC, and the Scene Dept. plugin is published under the IgorBox business identity. That publisher name refers to the same legal operator identified in this notice.
We make decisions about account, security, and service-administration data. For personal information an organization includes in its projects, that organization may have its own obligations to the people concerned. This notice does not replace its privacy disclosures or the policies of a connected AI service.
2. Information processed
Account and access information includes your name, email address, password credential stored in hashed form, verification and reset records, sessions, legacy beta-access request records, invitations, and project membership. We also receive information you send in support requests.
Project information includes titles, descriptions, outlines, screenplay elements, writers and cover details, scenes, shots, visual note images and their captions or descriptions, requirements, talent or subject names, production and editor notes, statuses, and revision history. It can include personal information that you or a collaborator choose to enter. Reports and project exports contain the information selected for that output.
Integration records include registered client information, granted permissions, selected projects, authorization and token records, and connection status. Tool requests and results process the project information needed for the authorized action.
Our hosting and security systems may process IP addresses, request timestamps, browser or device information, and error or security logs. These are used to deliver the service, diagnose problems, enforce limits, and investigate abuse.
3. Purposes and legal bases
We use information to create and verify accounts, save and restore projects, enable collaboration and integrations, generate requested reports, send account and invitation emails, answer support requests, secure the application, and meet legal obligations. A beta request is used to manage the invitation process and contact you about access.
Where a legal basis is required, we rely on performance of our agreement for requested service functions, legitimate interests for proportionate security and service administration, legal obligations when applicable, and consent for optional processing that requires it. You may withdraw consent without affecting prior lawful processing. We do not treat use of the site as consent to every possible future data use.
4. Sharing and service providers
Project content is available to the collaborators and connected clients authorized for that project. Sending a report by email shares the report and your note with the recipients you specify. Check addresses and access roles before sharing. A recipient can keep a copy even if you later revoke access.
We use Vercel for application hosting, MongoDB Atlas for the hosted database, Cloudflare R2 for private visual note storage, and Resend for production email delivery. They process the information needed to provide those services, such as hosted application data, account and project records, uploaded images, or email recipient details and message contents. Other infrastructure supporting those services may also process information under the providers’ arrangements.
Authorized personnel may access information when needed for support, security, or operations. Information may also be disclosed when legally required, to protect rights or safety, or in connection with a business transfer subject to appropriate obligations. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
5. AI connections and project content
Connecting an AI assistant authorizes access to the projects and operations shown during authorization. Read access lets it retrieve permitted content, including temporary links to private visual notes when requested; write access lets it change permitted content and manage those visual notes. This is optional. Revoking the connection stops future authorized requests; it does not delete content from the AI provider or from conversations you already created there.
Depending on your connection scope and existing permissions, tool requests and results can also disclose team membership and invitation information to the connected AI service, including names, email addresses, and access roles. With appropriate write access and your instructions, an assistant can manage project or team permissions, delete permitted content, and request report or invitation emails. Email delivery processes recipient addresses and shares the requested report, note, or invitation with those recipients. Revoking a connection does not recall sent emails or copies already received.
The external AI service controls how it handles information it receives, including retention, model improvement, and any available privacy controls. Your use of that service is also governed by its terms and privacy policy. Review that provider’s terms and settings before connecting, particularly for confidential scripts or information about other people. Rising Orchards, LLC does not control that provider’s processing, retention, or use of information received through your authorized connection. This does not limit our responsibilities for our own service, disclosures, security, or transfers of information, or any responsibility that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Scene Dept. does not use private project content to train AI models. It does not currently include a built-in generative AI assistant. We will explain the provider, information sent, purpose, and relevant choices before introducing a first-party AI feature that changes these practices. Authorizing a connector is not permission for Rising Orchards, LLC to train a model on your private projects.
6. Cookies and browser storage
Authentication cookies keep you signed in and support secure account flows. A theme cookie remembers your appearance preference. Projects are stored on the server. Older versions may have left interface preferences in browser local storage; you can clear stored site data in your browser.
The current application does not include advertising pixels or marketing analytics cookies. Hosting systems still process operational requests and logs. Blocking essential cookies can prevent sign-in or other account features from working. You can clear browser preferences through your browser settings.
7. Retention, deletion, and security
We retain information for as long as needed for the service and the purposes above, including security, dispute resolution, and legal requirements. Project revision history supports recovery of earlier versions. Deleting a project removes it from active use. Stored project records and revision history can remain until a deletion request is processed or retention cleanup occurs. Account closure also does not necessarily remove every operational record or backup immediately. Contact us to request erasure of retained personal information, subject to applicable exceptions.
You can export project data, update supported account details, manage access, remove visual notes, and delete projects you own. Removing a visual note requests deletion of its original and preview from active object storage. For account deletion or other data requests, contact us; we may need to verify your identity and consider others’ rights in shared projects. Information retained by collaborators, report recipients, or an external AI provider must be addressed with that recipient as well.
We use access controls, authenticated connections, and other reasonable safeguards. No online system can guarantee absolute security or permanent availability. Protect your credentials and keep separate copies of important production material.
8. Locations and your privacy rights
Rising Orchards, LLC is based in the United States. Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries in which they operate. Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, we must use the required safeguards; this notice is not a substitute for them.
Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, or appeal a denied request. Contact us to exercise applicable rights. We will respond as required by the law that applies and will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising those rights. You may also complain to your local privacy regulator.
9. Age limits and policy changes
Scene Dept. accounts are intended for adults aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly offer accounts to children. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate authorization, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
We will update this notice when our practices change and revise the date above. Material changes will be communicated through the service or email where appropriate. We will obtain consent where required before using information for a new purpose. Contact support@risingorchards.com with questions or complaints.
